Letter from the Editor plus everything in the Fall, 2018 Issue.

From day one our magazine has had a clear agenda: to celebrate what’s good in the local food system. Specifically we concentrate on our WOW regions: Wayne, Oakland and Washtenaw counties. We seek out farmers who are using creative growing methods, organizations using food and gardens to improve people’s lives and chefs who are committed to supporting the farmers and food artisans around them.

In a region such as ours, where the local food movement continues to flourish, we are bursting with good food news. As a quarterly publication, we hardly have time to tell every story that merits attention. That’s where social media comes in handy. We have reactivated our Instagram account to serve as a good news hub. Our posts highlight people, places and products that have “the WOW factor” in Southeast Michigan’s local food scene.

Our Facebook page has long been a place to find event information, links to WOW articles and recipes and regional news. Our website houses the digital editions of the magazine where you can search for past articles, published food features and recipe collections.

We’d really like to see more of our readers using social media interactively. Tag us on Instagram, #ediblewow, with the good news you find or comment on Facebook about places you’d like to know more about. Good food is good news. Let’s share both together.
