Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1½ cups unsalted butter, softened
- 1 egg yolk
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- Jam, such as raspberry, or your preferred filling
- Powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, softened butter and egg yolk. Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the mixture. Mix until you achieve a smooth and well-incorporated dough.
After mixing, place the dough in the refrigerator to chill for a few minutes. Once chilled, roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness, typically about ⅛ inch. Cut the dough into squares. Add a teaspoon of jam or your choice of filling in the center of each square.
To shape the kiflies into a diamond shape, moisten one corner of the dough and fold it over to meet the opposite corner, pinching them together. Place the prepared kiflies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.
Once baked, allow the kiflies to cool, then dust with powdered sugar.
