Ingredients
- 2 pounds bacon
- 2 Spanish onions
- 4 apples (Pink Lady or Fuji are nice)
- ¼ cup garlic cloves
- ¾ cup apple cider vinegar
- ¾ cup apple cider or juice
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup maple syrup
Instructions
Finely dice the bacon, onions, apples and garlic. Brown bacon in a pan then add onions, apples and garlic. Let it cook on low as you add vinegar, cider, sugar and maple syrup.
Transfer to a baking pan or just move your sauté pan into a 275° oven. Reduce the jam for around 2 hours. Stir it a few times aer the first hour. It should start to look rather dark when it’s done. Eat it warm or cool it off to save for later.
